Souls Before Sunrise!

I have always wanted experience with VR and have been determined in the past to craft some sort of horror experience, but how do we make a unique game in a sea of horror experiences already available for purchase.
Well my premise starts by flipping the horror game on its head. The main player (VR controlling player) will be the entity within the house. As the overlord for the entire scenario, they will attempt to manipulate the environment, even spawning entities to do their bidding, with the goal of reaping the survivors souls (killing them in creative ways).
Furthermore, if playing online, as the game is designed to be played 1v4, the survivors will be real people trying to survive till sunrise, where they will be able to leave the area or be rescued. However, at the half way point in each game (which will last around 30 minutes max) the rescuers will tell the players how many people can be rescued (random between 1 and 4). This creates problems for the survivors, with for example if it is 2 survivors that can escape they must lower their numbers to this to escape effectively fighting each other in creative ways whilst the Eidolon is also trying to end each of them before they escape.
Now if they could only be killed in a small amount of ways this could get tedious, but the whole environment will be their weapon. The Eidolon for example could start a fire in one room making survivors move around the environment and possible into pitfalls and other traps that have been set by the Eidolon. Think of the game being a cross between The Sims (mass interaction with most environmental objects and different options per) and Hitman (loads of different ways to kill your target).
There is loads of cool features which I would love to have, such as:
Crafting your own scenarios, environment and even ghosts / creatures.
Couch-coop play.
NPCs 1v4 for offline play.
2D variant for none-vr user to play as Eidolon (probably companion app).
Multiple environments (space, cabin, underwater, arctic, etc)
Immersive features such as inputting your own cry for help as a survivor before a game which the Eidolon can then use to lure other players to rooms.
Currently working on a relatively short design document for this project. So cannot go into every detail.
Keep tuned for more posts in relation to this project soon !
