Assignment Brief Description
The brief for this project was to build a 3D first person shooter in 8 weeks, while learning the engine for the first time (Unity). The end product was to contain camera swapping mechanics, enemy targets which moved, conditional based logic and basic menus.
Design Choices
Due to the brief, ideas initially revolved around simple first-person shooter games and tower defense style was set upon as the target type due to the fact it would not need player movement other than aiming and it incorporated the camera swapping mechanic in a reasonable way.
Due to being a designer and not an artist, a pack of objects and materials was chosen from the Unity storefront, saving time as the project was mainly graded upon mechanics and scripting.

Key Features
-
Random way-points between spawning enemy AI targets, which move on a path towards the end-zone.
-
Conditional based sound effects such as when enemy is destroyed, when enemies take a life from the player and more.
-
Visual feedback such as loss of lives, icons and light colour changes. Ammo counters, time remaining.
-
Animated loading screens.
-
Conditional based logic such as loss of score per shot, but countered by score added per kill.
-
Enemies random spawned via a time range.
-
Multiple difficulties which increased time needed to survive and spawning amounts.
-
Self produced soundtrack.
